
While working for the Sequoia Foundation, I was tasked with creating a Marketing Branding Campaign for their “Air Aware Oakland” project to raise awareness of air quality in the Oakland Unified School District.
The project consisted of the creation of the campaign’s name, logo, and overall Brand Identity.
Beginning Concepts
We started with nothing. We brainstormed a few name ideas that I could use when coming up with initial sketches. I worked over the summer, playing around with colors, typography, and the pictorial mark, eventually coming up with the logo we see today. I collaborated with a senior designer who guided me through this process, ensuring that we created a final product that is clean, inviting, and youthful.
